Hi Guys, I have a NS20; the reason I was going to upgrade to a NS-120 was for dededuplication features. Its mentioned here you can upgrade the DART to a newer release.

Is it worth upgrading to the NS-120; how much better is it?

Hi Dave, fitst time here. Just a quick note; "another specific vendor still charged for that feature". As there's only one other vendor doing dedupe on primary storage, I'd like to point out that NetApp does not charge for dedupe. It's free too.

Steve,

not a pricing guy by ANY stretch of the imagination. If you needed pricing guidance, let me know your avenue of purchase and I can work with them. As far as the EFDs go, the only thing I can say (again, not the pricing guy) is that the price on them has dropped close to 75% since their introduction in January of 2008. Good news all around.

cheers,

dave
